It’s hugely important to me that the English Wedding Blog isn’t bossy; I’ll never try to dictate how a wedding ‘should’ look. Every shoot I feature is a suggestion, an inspiration and a collection of ideas to help you style your wedding. Today’s is a perfect example: photographer Aksela curated this lovely styled shoot with minimalism in mind.
“There’s no need to go overboard on wedding styling if you can choose a few beautiful statement pieces instead.”
Images are from Froyle Park in Hampshire, a magnificent manor and country house estate an hour outside London. Lovely Elisabeth from Amamini Flowers was first to show me the images, and I love the way she created elegant place settings and a beautifully textured bouquet for the shoot. Statement flowers are my favourite way to create a unique bridal look, and these are just fabulous!
Aksela told me, “I teamed up with an amazingly creative team of local vendors to show that a connection of luxurious and chic with natural beauty of the area is certainly possible. Hampshire is known for its rolling green hills and the location I chose offers perfectly manicured gardens, fountains, outdoor dome and the atmosphere is simply ideal for an outdoor wedding.
“I opted for minimalistic details such as flowers and the sweet corner. With weddings it is very easy to go overboard, hence the idea was to illustrate that minimal, delicate color palette with touches of color can be very stylish in its own way and compliment the natural beauty of a picturesque British countryside.”
