I was quietly chuffed when the guys from Pennard House got in touch to show me their stunning news – because a) I love discovering new venues and b) when real artists get involved in their design and styling it’s pretty damn incredible… especially when someone like Frederick Wimsett is commissioned to paint on the walls!
The best venues are timeless and inspiring in their architecture and design. Think of some of our most magnificent venues with their grand portraits, chandeliers and sculptures. Those features will add atmosphere to your wedding photos for years and years… and now Pennard House has something pretty amazing and unique to offer brides and grooms too.
Frederick’s exquisitely handpainted murals will cover the walls of The Orchard Room at Pennard House – a newly renovated bedroom to be used as the bridal suite at one of our most exciting and historical wedding venues.
Frederick’s murals cover the walls of the rich, famous and creative… Alice Temperley (Temperley Bridal) and Kate Moss are just some of his (super exciting!) clients.
“Floor-to-ceiling windows frame a stunning view across the south-facing lawns, the external beauty mirrored by the classic interior design scheme within the Orchard Room. Featuring an extravagant Burlington roll-top bath, marble fireplace and a soft bespoke lighting scheme the Orchard Room will become an atmospheric bedroom for guests and bridal suite for weddings held at Pennard House.
Pennard House have developed an enviable client base from Vogue, Marie Claire to A-list celebrities, with Wimsett, their latest collaboration, literally leaving his mark on the Grade II listed building. This partnership is particularly exciting in juxtaposing the traditional English country interiors of Pennard House with Wimsett’s charming and original technique.”
Isn’t this fabulous? Somerset brides, artists and creative couples – you just have to go and investigate if you’re still venue hunting! Visit http://www.pennardhouse.com/ for more information. Now… did I mention I’m moving house? I’m feeling inspired to try a little mural painting myself!
