Writing a wedding blog is sometimes nothing more than a glorious excuse to share the sort of beautiful images I could just dive into. Today is pretty much a playday for me – I’m thrilled to be sharing a veritable feast of the most luscious flower photos by two wonderfully inventive Surrey wedding suppliers.
We’re talking delicate little shoes which look as though they’re made of leaves and petals… striking arrangements with corroding metals softened and made beautiful by the touch of a flower or three… fountains of flowers bursting from a woodland stream and insightful arrangements turning dark, wood-panelled rooms into charming and elegant spaces…
The awesomely-named Rebecca Tiller Floral Imaginarium, together with photographer Julie Anne Images, have created this showcase of floral design which has me blinking in delightful disbelief! I urge you to check them out… truly, they’re amazing!
I hope today’s feature will inspire you to get creative with your wedding flowers, or maybe (do!) get in touch with Julie Anne or Rebecca if you’re in the Surrey area. The images are out of this world… I’ll hand over to Rebecca and Julie Anne to tell you more!

“I had previously met Julie whilst working for a company in Farnham. She brought with her not only some lovely props, “just in case” but boundless enthusiasm and positive energy. I have worked with photographers in the past but none of them captured the pure essence of the flowers in the same way as Julie does. I can’t explain what or how she does this but there is a real feeling of calm and intimacy in every picture she takes. Julie can bring out the best in every bud, leaf and twig (and camera shy florist!) When I set up my own business, there was only one photographer for the job and happily for me she jumped at the opportunity!
I love to create designs that use the very best of cultivated flowers and foliage along with foraged natural treasures. The organic uniqueness of this material brings harmony and originality to my designs.
Working with my fantastic team, I can provide flowers for all occasions and we ensure that every client, detail and creation is treated with the care and passion they deserve.”

“I met Rebecca a couple of years ago while photographing some interiors and floral
arrangements for a local business. She got in touch when she set up as an independent
florist, and I jumped at the chance to work with her again – I think she is a floral genius. Her creative ideas are so out-of-the-box and put such a different spin on artistry with flowers.
Our first floral photo session, at a local sculpture park, meant we were able to look out for unusual contrasts of materials and texture as a backdrop for the flowers – rusted, angular metal, as well as mossy trunks and woodland. I even got rid of my shoes to jump in the stream and get the angle I wanted for one of the very European, loose and wild bouquets that Rebecca had created… We wanted it to look very organic, as though it had just sprung up there – oh, and I managed to cool my feet off at the same time! Rebecca was very keen that her floral ‘look’ would stand out from the crowd, and I think we certainly achieved that.
I set up as a pro photographer in 2008, and the business has evolved very much towards weddings – but one of the joys of being in a creative industry is that no two days are ever the same. I do love the countryside and being outdoors, so give me an outdoor wedding and I’m really in my element! One of my favourite things about wedding photography is that you get to see people at their best, and with a full range of nerves and excitement and connection – all the things that make us human. Throw a bit of the outdoors into the mix and I feel completely at home, capturing the day just as it happens, in the sort of pictures that I hope bring back every emotion of the day when couples look through them.
