Join me this lovely morning to discover the fabulous Dearly Beloved – wedding invitations by a creative designer team with a fresh and modern approach to wedding stationery. Gorgeous Abi and Ben create “painterly” [oh and that’s my new favourite word!] designs, retro floral illustration and eclectic, whimsical wedding stationery. I think you’ll love them…
I’ve fallen head over heels for Abi and Ben’s fresh and exciting take on wedding stationery. Their simple but oh-so-creative illustrations are just wonderful. I adore their use of strong ink lines with the most delicate watercolours… and I have a feeling you’ll be charmed by them too!

Dearly Beloved are a South West based design company with a fresh approach to wedding stationery.
Creative couple Abigail McKenzie and Ben Aslett met at university whilst studying to become illustrators. Fast forward 7 years and they have just launched as Dearly Beloved, a design team who create bespoke wedding invitations for the modern couple.
As experienced artists and designers they create bespoke stationery for their clients. Their creative process is all about collaboration, by sharing anything from their favourite film, song or even photographs of their parents’ wedding day, couples can count on Dearly Beloved to produce unique designs to mark the beginning of their lives together.
With a background in illustration Abigail McKenzie creates painterly designs using a variety of inks and watercolour paint. With influences stemming from 20th century trends, she specialises in producing designs with a retro feel filled with femininity. Her favourite thing about being a part of Dearly Beloved is interpreting the personal ideas of each couple into visuals for their day.
As an accomplished Illustrator and Graphic Designer Ben Aslett specialises in producing artwork with a digital yet whimsical look. With a fresh approach to making wedding stationery, Ben allows his eclectic inspirations from everything from mid century design to Americana to feed into images he creates for clients.
This new stationer designs a variety of paper based products including save the dates, invitations, table plans, order of service/programmes, wedding favours and personalised bunting. However, the thing that sets Dearly Beloved aside is the service they provide interpreting the couple’s ideas into the visuals for their big day.
“It’s so exciting to have the chance to represent each couple on paper. We want the clients’ guests to look around the venue and for it not only to be a beautiful wedding but for it to feel like a true celebration of the couple!” Abigail McKenzie, January 2015
Here’s what one happy bride had to say: “From invitations to menus [we were] guided on everything. I was delighted with all the work and so many of our guests commented on the beautiful illustrations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.”
