Holly and Chris are the loveliest couple, and so gorgeous, both of them! I’m delighted to share their outdoor wedding with you today – it totally brings back those long summer days! Their theme was English country garden, with soft pinks and even an iced croquembouche to match their colours!
Holly found her dress in a closing down sale and fell in love with it – after alterations were made by the girls at Pure Couture it looked incredible and she’s such a beautiful bride! Bridesmaids wear dresses found on Etsy with straps which can be worn in different ways – a lovely way to please all your best girls, don’t you agree?

Wedding photographer’s website:
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer?
Yes! We had the perfect day and the images bring back all of our happy memories. The photography side of the day was brilliant. Heni made us feel very relaxed and split the sessions up so in between we had time to chat and mingle with our guests. We absolutely love our photo album too, it’s a story book of our day. The wedding photographs have a very romantic and intimate feel to them like it was just the two of us. Again thank you so much for the beautiful photographs we would definitely recommend your services.

Can you describe your wedding in a single sentence?
A wonderfully relaxed wedding day with really good weather and lots of chatting and drinking with guests out on the terrace!
Your wedding style and theme:
Outdoor wedding with a country-garden feel;
How long did you spend planning your wedding?
Wedding invitations and on the day stationery:
One of my favourite things from our wedding was our guest book. We bought a Fujifilm Polaroid camera for people to take a picture of themselves and leave it with a message.
Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?
Finding the perfect dress wasn’t plain sailing. I found my dress on a closing down sale. I absolutely fell in love with it and bought it straight away, but when I took it for alterations at Pure Couture in Beaconsfield I realised it was a size too big. I couldn’t visualize what the dress would look like and didn’t think I want it anymore, which made me burst into tears in the dress shop – very embarrassing. However, the girls at Pure Couture were wonderful and reassured me! In the end I loved my dress.
Glitz and sparkle – the bride’s accessories:
Wonderful feathered Jimmy Choo shoes
Suited and booted – the groom wore:
A three-piece suit from Marks and Spencer’s
Beautiful bridesmaids: what did your best girls wear?
We opted for dresses with straps that could be tied in lots of different ways, giving the bridesmaids flexibility to wear the dress however they felt comfortable. We bought the dresses on Etsy
Juliet roses, white freesias, peach astilbes and tanacetum with a country garden feel.
DIY – tell us about any handcrafted elements of your wedding…
Me and my bridesmaid Heather came up with a novel idea for a table plan which was a nod to Chris’ love of football. I made a football pitch table plan with his favourite Chelsea players as the table names.
The wedding cake: traditional or quirky?
Every Christmas my Mum makes a profiterole tower so I really wanted one for my wedding. The pastry chef at The Pavilion was able to make a beautiful French croquembouche with icing to match our colour scheme and scattered flowers… we were absolutely thrilled with it.
We were recommended a DJ by the venue, who was excellent. He took a guide to the type of music we wanted, played certain tracks we asked for and most importantly played songs on request from our guests. He also provided his own lighting and sound equipment.
