Definitely vintage, oh-so-sparkly and with a wonderfully bold style throughout, the brand new Maharaja collection by Tantrums and Tiaras stopped me in my tracks this week. (Railway pun not intended!) I love to see how accessories can be worn – it’s all very well seeing something lovely in a display counter at a wedding show or in a bridal shop… but this shoot shows how amazing hair jewels can look, and how to wear them. And it makes me all tingly because it’s just so goddamn beautiful.
‘Maharaja’ is a collection of East meets West headpieces designed to give style and glamour to any bridal look. The new range features big jewels, delicate mehndi inspired details and pretty metallic tones reminiscent of the British Indian Empire. The unique design of each handmade piece will set any bride apart.
Designer and founder of Tantrums and Tiaras, Kelly Scully said “I have really enjoyed creating the new ‘Maharaja’ collection which adds the finishing touch of designer class to any bridal outfit.
“The pieces have already been attracting a huge amount of attention from brides who have come to my studio and their reaction to the collection has been very exciting for me.
“I wanted to create a collection so versatile that each piece will suit of myriad of bridal styles. Whether it’s a relaxed Boho vibe, a serene beach destination or a rustic vintage countryside wedding, there is something for all tastes, settings and themes.
“A purchase for your wedding day should be an investment and something truly special you will want to wear again and this collection captures exactly that.”
“At Tantrums and Tiaras we are building on a very successful and award winning 10 years so this luxurious range with prices ranging from just £40 will continue to grow throughout 2015.”
All of Tantrums and Tiaras headpieces can be teamed with their beautiful collection of wedding jewellery. Made to order pieces can also be made to match other features of the wedding outfit such as detailing on dresses.
