Today I’m over the moon to be sharing a styled shoot from PapaKåta, The Wedding Affair and Dominic Wright Photography. The star of the day? Well aside from our gorgeous couple, it has to be the beautiful tent doesn’t it? Just… wow!
Imagine celebrating your wedding under canvas with something glamorous, exciting and brand new to the UK. This is worlds away from a dingy old marquee – Sperry Tents are brand new to this country, and they’re the prettiest, classiest, most amazing places for a wedding reception you could possibly dream of!
I’ve been a MASSIVE fan of PapaKåta since the beginning of the English Wedding Blog back in 2011. Wedding teepees were brand new, and we loved their rustic, eco style. PapaKåta is now the UK’s biggest supplier of teepees and back in February I heard they were bringing Sperry Tents – fabulous American styled tents – over to the UK. Sperry Tents are huge in the US, always on the world’s top wedding blogs, and I’m more excited than I can even begin to tell you to be sharing this shoot with you today.
Sperry tents have been the hottest occasion tents of the summer. Under the stunning Sperry sailcloth canopy and in the grounds of Newby Hall and Gardens, PapaKåta, The Wedding Affair and Dominic Wright Photography have created a modern Gatsby inspired styled shoot.
Drawing influence from the glamour of The Great Gatsby and Downton refinement, Sperry tents provide a timeless celebration space. The shoot brought Gatsby bang up to date, with dapper menswear from Charles Tyrwhitt Menswear, stunning jeweled dresses by Eliza Jane Howell Bridal of Bridal Rogue Gallery and accessories by HF Couture. Models Chris Baxter and Rhiannon Cawthorne were styled by Helen Guy MUA.
Floral designs in a modern muted palette of blush and grey were created by Lucy MacNicoll Flowers, using mirrored and metallic vases, with additional styling touches by Pamella Dunn Events, Typical Type, Event Prop Hire, Choose Cake and The Charming Press.
Launched at the start of this year’s party season, this is the first time these stunning American sailcloth tents have been available in the UK, exclusively from PapaKåta. This summer has seen the Sperry tents grace some incredible weddings, parties and corporate events across the UK.
With thanks to all of the fabulous suppliers who contributed to this styled shoot:
