Happy Monday everyone! Let’s begin the week with a vibrant bouquet from a lovely English wedding, shall we? Kent and Essex wedding photographer Alison Wood got in touch with me on Twitter when I shared my best real bouquets of 2014, and I loved Hayley’s bright colours and exciting textures.
Happily when I asked Alison if I could blog the wedding she said yes! If you’re looking for a wedding photographer near Kent or Essex do look her up:
So here we have a wonderfully bright beginning to the week – perfect for a Monday morning! Enjoy.
I asked Alison to tell me a little about their day:
“Hayley and Russell met at Aston university and after 10 years together they got married last September. Hayley is from Wales and Russell from Hastings.
“The wedding ceremony took place at the Register Office at the Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone, Kent. On the way to the reception, we stopped off in the village of Aylesford and I took some photos of the couple on the medieval bridge. It was quite overcast but the rain held off luckily.
“The reception took place at the North Barn at the Friars in Aylesford. The theme was travel: Hayley and Russell have done two big round the world trips together and they both love travelling. Each table was named after a different country and had beer and edible favours from that country on it for the guests. For example, I was sat on the ‘India’ table and we had Cobra beer and little packets of bombay mix.
“Instead of individual place names written on card, Hayley’s sister Natasha, an amazing florist who did all the flowers, had decorated individual wine glasses with the names of every guest!!! The whole barn where the reception was held was decorated by their family and friends. It was gorgeous.
“Hayley and Natasha are both expecting their first babies any day now!”
