“On your wedding day, the location of your photographs will probably be limited to your venue or somewhere nearby, but for an engagement photo session, the world is your oyster.”
What a wonderful little bite of truth from wedding photographer Adam at AdamsPhotoArt. You spend weeks choosing your ideal wedding venue which will form the backdrop to all of your photos on the day. There’ll be gardens and furnishings to suit your personalities, but any venue might lack variety… so when it comes to your engagement shoot you should choose somewhere with as many aspects and characters as you can dream of!
May-Ling and Matt suggested Richmond for their romantic engagement shoot because it’s one of their favourite places to visit. Adam says, ‘It’s the perfect setting for a romantic stroll – with its quaint cobbled street, riverside walks and beautiful gardens. We walked down to the riverside to take some photographs, I took some photographs as they walked round the riverside chatting, occasionally stopping to look out at the passing boats.’
The romantic images from May-Ling and Matt’s engagement shoot are wonderfully varied, with picnics and bridges, bubbles and oldy worldy shop fronts… they have style and character and an old English charm which is right up my street! I rarely feature engagement shoots on the blog, but theirs is truly special. I can’t wait to see their wedding!
With thanks to London wedding photographer Adam Szczepanski for sharing his beautiful images with us all today.
