Louise and Christopher’s dream summer vintage wedding at Rivington Hall Barn, with David Stubbs Photography

It doesn’t usually take me this long to sort through the images I’m sent for a wedding blog feature, but photographer David Stubbs sent me so many gorgeous images I was truly spoilt for choice! I know you’ll love Louise and Christopher’s wedding – they have individuality and style; they’ve created a wedding day full of ideas and which looks as amazing in the images as it must have been to be there on the day!

Louise is a stunning bride in her Enzoani dress and Christopher looks fab in his Next jacket and trousers – loving those polka dots and the shades! The VW camper van is a star; there’s a gorgeous little flower girl who almost steals the show and of course (as Louise puts it!) – a bucking bronco! I’ve been kind and only included the picture of Christopher as he’s doing well on the back of it… hehe!

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer?

Yes out of this world, it was like having an old friend at your wedding he was totally unobtrusive but got the most amazing shots

Wedding venue:

Rivington Hall Barn Bolton Lancashire BL6 7SB

Can you describe your wedding in a single sentence?

Dream summer vintage wedding

What was your reaction to seeing your wedding photos for the first time?

Thrilled and amazed with how well my photographer captured the moment by almost being a fly on the wall.

Your wedding style and theme:

Vintage, from the invitations to the bunting in the barn, we wanted to create a garden party ambience

Any happy tears on the day?

Yes plenty……whilst walking down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams.

How did the two of you meet?

We met by chance on a night out with friends

How long did you spend planning your wedding?

12 months after our engagement

Best bit of budget advice?

Blow the budget you only get married once ha ha, seriously though we did try to keep within a budget but we did go a little over towards the big day, which I think most weddings do, so a word of caution have a slush fund to dip into, there’s always those little extras that crop up, that you won’t have thought of!

All home made with love

Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?

Absolutely, from the moment I saw it

Wedding dress designer and bridal boutique:

Glitz and sparkle: the bride’s accessories:

Rainbow shoes , Tiffany pearl earrings , a beautiful pearl bracelet from my sister, on which I hung a heart locket, sent to me that morning from my gorgeous husband to be, with a photo of my beloved nannie in (he knew how much I loved her and wanted her to see me get married  with all my heart, he thought although she had passed away she would still be with me) and of course a tiara

The groom wore:

Next mix and match

All Monsoon

What do you remember most about the wedding ceremony?

All the love that surrounded us, beautiful music , gorgeous church

Wedding readings?

All readings by family and friends and the poem, I carry your heart ,by E. E Cummings read by my sister

General styling – did your venue need much decoration?

Not much apart from the beautiful floral table decorations, candles in jam jars and bunting, the venue spoke for itself

The wedding cake: traditional or quirky?

Quirky designed by Julie Ferns

Entertainment:

String quartet a touch of class, the fabulous Hold The Line band and of course a bucking bronco

On the day tips and advice:

Relax and enjoy, take a moment to stand back in the room and soak in the atmosphere, it’s electric !

What’s the best thing about being married?

The best thing about being married is nothing has changed, life is good and we are looking forward to the future together.
