A beautiful English wedding film from Thornton Manor, with Love Gets Sweeter

Hello, and happy Wednesday to you! I have a beautifully elegant English wedding to share with you today – Annabelle and James were married at St Joseph’s church in Blundellsands and chose Thornton Manor for their wedding reception. They’d travelled from London for their wedding in the north west, which kind of proves how desirable Thornton Manor is as a top class wedding venue! Worth a journey… and then some! Their day is elegantly styled with just a few, but such beautiful details and special touches: a white bouquet, pale gold bridesmaids’ dresses and ties. You really don’t need more than this for such a stunning venue!

Images and video are by lovely Charlene at Love Gets Sweeter, who told me a little about the wedding day:

“The wedding was fabulous. The bride was very much a Daddy’s girl and he made such a fuss over her all day. You could see how proud he was as he walked her down the aisle towards the groom, James. Even he got a little wobbly lipped as soon as he saw her (and don’t you just love seeing the Groom’s reaction at that moment? The video really does bring all that emotion back). It was a very elegant affair from the traditional church ceremony to the gorgeous country estate setting for the reception.

I just loved all the little details they’d added that went with the style of the venue, Thornton Manor, and the guests also enjoyed taking in the amazing venue and it’s gardens as they enjoyed the sunshine in the afternoon. They had such infectious smiles that I felt I was grinning along with them all day (I hope the guests didn’t think I was a little weird for doing that?!) and even while I edited it I couldn’t help but smile.

I love it when you see a couple so deliriously happy on their wedding day, it’s infectious to everyone who not only spends the day celebrating with them but also for the strangers that may glance upon their wedding film. I think that’s why this video works so well as it shows off all those emotions, all that happiness and it feels so very real. Videos can do that you know, and that’s why I love them so much and why couples tell me they love theirs more than they ever thought they could!”

I spotted the very lovely photographer Lisa Aldersley in the wedding film – small world, as I met Lisa only last week at Aspire Photography Training where she was inspiring and training photographers on a styled shoot. (I really want a camera holster like Lisa’s!) If you’re looking for a wedding photographer for Thornton Manor then Lisa comes highly recommended indeed!
