A pretty awesome Maid of Honour speech at Bradbourne House in Kent, with Funky Pixel Photography

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great week and you’re looking forward to a brilliant weekend! I have something very different to share with you today – the kind of thing which will be easier to watch at home than at work – because you’ll need the volume turned up, and you’ll giggle a LOT! This is awesome. Thanks to James at Funky Pixel Photography for sharing!

Nina and Adrian’s wedding was a wonderful and emotional day. They got married at The Garrison Church in Brompton, followed by their reception at the stunning Bradbourne House in Kent. Nina explains, “The story goes I sent bek a YouTube link to a wedding rap to an Eminem song. It was a bit lame and cheesy and I thought it would make her laugh. I said before the link “do you take requests?” Entirely in jest and not expecting a rap at all!

The DJ worked with Rebecca to pull off the speech of a lifetime! “Rebecca felt that she needed to lift the spirits of the room after the main speeches by performing a well  rehearsed piece.

After weeks of preparation and early morning practice at her local bus stop Rebecca was well on her way to perfecting her Wedding Rap! Finally the day arrived and I hooked up with Rebecca in the Wedding Breakfast room at Bradbourne House in Kent to run through the layout and timings…”

And Rebecca told us, “I did the rap because I knew the speeches would get emotional. We lost our brother 4 years ago and Ade lost his mum so I didn’t want the speeches to end in tears. I tried to do raps to Eminem and Rizzle Kicks and I just couldn’t do it so I told Nin no. Then one night I was cooking and the kids had Fresh Prince on and the 1st verse just came to me! I did some lyrics then texted Glenn (the DJ) who is an old mate of mine and he sent me the instrumental. It took a good month to do the lyrics to fit then I practised whenever I was alone. I love karaoke, and I’m far from shy and dont mind taking the piss out of myself so it was worth the nerves to give everyone a laugh…. and I feel one of my greatest achievements in life is making Adrian rhyme with beer!

This is brilliant. I think what I love most is that it inspires confidence. If you’re making a speech on your wedding day or at a friend’s wedding don’t be nervous, because the likelihood is you won’t have to put on a performance like this one!
