Would you buy your wedding outfit for under £550?

Recently H&M caused a bit of a stir when they launched their £59.99 wedding dress – a 1930s Hollywood inspired dress promising a “glamorous movie star look.” Wedding blogs and magazines were all over it, the discussion on facebook and twitter was fascinating. My own thoughts over on facebook – yes, I’d wear a £59.99 dress for my wedding! (But probably not that one… I’d choose something a little more individual, with a little less press coverage!) If price is more of an issue then I have another question for you: would you buy your entire wedding outfit for under £550? Tracey from Bridal Designs has written a blog post with some suggestions and I’d love to hear what you think!

The answer to that is I did!! My dress was £250, I spent £90 on a pair of shoes and my jewellery and hair piece came to about £40 all together. I just couldn’t justify spending thousands on a dress I was only going to wear once. It’s not in my nature!!!
