Hey 🙂 I’m feeling very happy this morning, in a quiet and contented kind of way! It’s all thanks to today’s gorgeous bride and groom. Their wedding had a bit of a love bird theme – and to be honest I don’t think anything could suit them better!
Usually when I sit down to blog a wedding I begin by sorting through all the images the photographer sends me. I select my favourites for the blog, and others are left to one side. I couldn’t do that today. The pictures of Mel and Tom’s wedding just had me hooked from the very beginning. It’s partly down to the lovely images their wedding photographer Chris Giles sent me, and also because they’re really the most adorable couple! Just watch out for the way Tom looks at Mel and holds her on today’s wedding blog. They’re perfect together – love birds indeed!
With congratulations to the beautiful bride and her very handsome groom, and thanks for a fantastic wedding report and supplier list too! Thanks also to Chris Giles for the submission. I’d love for you to all join me now in enjoying this beautiful real wedding from Nonsuch Mansion. Have a wonderful day! Claire xxx

General styling – did your venue need much decoration?
No, Nonsuch mansion is a stunning venue and didn’t need much decorating. We had a large electronic photoframe showing pictures of us, some small floral arrangements and birdcages around.
The wedding cake: traditional or quirky?
Quite traditional. We ordered an undecorated cake from M&S and then my Aunt helped me make beautiful sugar flower decorations.
We had a guitarist at the ceremony and drinks reception, then an awesome band called Saint at the wedding disco.
On the day tips and advice:
Relax and enjoy all of your hard work. Remember what the day is about, and make sure you grab a bit of time for just the two of you to enjoy it. Something will probably go wrong at some point but no one else will notice, and the amount of love you get from everyone will make you realise it just doesn’t matter.
