As a bit of a paper-lover, I love discovering and playing with new wedding invitations – and when Gary from Special Day Invitations asked if I’d like to try my hand at reviewing some of their cards, I was delighted!
Wedding invitations from the UK: Special Day Invitations
Special Day Invitations offer a great selection of low cost wedding invitations. With almost a hundred printed wedding invitations at low prices, plus a range of 90 or so luxury hand-finished wedding invitations, they have a selection to suit all wedding styles and themes.
Low cost vintage wedding invitations
My favourite designs from Special Day Invitations are from their vintage category. The designs are in soft colours with nice typography and a range of themes – from peacock feathers to simple type with flourishing.
The Mr & Mrs invitation was a favourite for me, also the True Love design at the top of this blog post – and prices start around the £1 mark for flat invitations. It’s an affordable way to buy wedding invitations to suit a vintage theme.
Quality low cost wedding invitations
I use my calligraphy pens as an official quality test for wedding invitations… and Special Day Invitations pass the test! They’re on nice card stock, professionally printed inside and out, and perfectly smooth with slight textures which suit a delicate calligraphy pen.
(There were a couple of designs which are printed inside which won’t take calligraphy ink so easily – these are the darker printed invitations. They’d be perfectly fine for writing with a rollerball or gel pen.)
Ordering your low cost wedding invitations online
The Special Day Invitations website is easy to use – all designs are shown clearly, with prices easy to find. Options are suggested for you: from Save the Date cards to place cards, day and evening invitations as well.
You personalise your own invitations – front and inside, by entering your text on the website. It’s a really simple process and you can see your wedding invitation layout online before your order arrives.
So for low cost printed wedding invitations, do visit Special Day Invitations. The best thing of all, apart from the prices? The ‘Made in England’ stamp at the top of their website. It’s good to support UK wedding suppliers!
