Charity wedding favour idea

Have you got your wedding favours yet? Are you having wedding favours? Are you wondering whether to bother? (Let’s face it – they’re not the most important aspect of a wedding for most people!)

I’m about to give you a damn good reason for having wedding favours.

One for the boys!

Orchid, the UK’s male cancer charity (penile, testicular and prostate cancer) have launched their very own charity ribbon pin badges which make unique wedding favours and are a wonderful way to support a worthy cause and provide the perfect finish to your special day.

Wearing an Orchid badge can be a reminder of a loved one’s battle against cancer and the courage they showed during the cancer journey. What’s more they are a lasting gift so your guests will always carry a memory of your wedding day.

Ribbon pin badges for wedding favours can be purchased from Orchid’s online shop via their website:  www.orchid-cancer.org.uk or by calling the Orchid office on 0203 465 5766. Suggested donation is £1 per badge.

Go on. 🙂

I think wedding favours targeted towards a charity of your choice are an excellent idea. Remember apart from the day you were born or on your death bed, your wedding is the only other day people will want to bend over backwards for you. I’ve had charities request chocolate favours for other purposes but no wedding ones yet so that will be nice.

Awesome post, thanks for bringing this up. I love it when couples involve an important cause in their weddings. Many often ask their guests to make a donation in lieu of wedding gifts, which is very thoughtful.

  • I think this is a fantastic Idea raise money for a good cause and they double up as favours also makes people more aware.

Good idea as Weddings cost a great deal of money and its nice to see some going to charities.

  • Hi Clare,
I’ve only just come across this so apologies for the lateness of my comment!
What a great idea this is! It seems like wedding favours can be a bit of an after thought at times with so much to plan for. These charity ribbons can be organised really easily with no stress!
