This morning I set out on my little scooter for an adventure: to meet two Cheshire wedding suppliers I’d heard rave reviews about and featured on the blog although we’d never met in person.
Laura from Green Earth Flowers and Michelle from Timeless Bride have built their wedding businesses around their personalities – both are passionate about their work and led by ethical principles: I learned a lot about being welcoming, honest and inspiring, from both of these ladies this morning.
In fact Laura and Michelle gave me so much to think about (2 A4 pages of scribbles and thoughts in my big notebook!) that I’ll be writing a number of blog posts over the next week and a bit: advice on choosing a wedding dress, getting creative with your wedding flowers, even some great tips for avoiding wedding planning stress.
I learned that not only do Michelle and Laura help you get the perfect look for your wedding day, they’re also perfectly positioned to advise their brides on other aspects of their day. If you’re just beginning to plan your wedding, don’t be shy to admit you need a bit of help with things: a great wedding florist will gladly explain everything you need to know, and a great bridal store will chat through every stage of finding that perfect dress.
Best of all, I learned this morning that going the extra mile for brides makes all the difference. Laura and Michelle are respected wedding suppliers and as such often find they are working for the same brides. They chat about dress designs and Laura’s familiarity with Michelle’s wedding dresses helps her shape her flower designs for the wedding day!
All I’ll say for now is to watch this space. After chatting for an hour or so with Laura and Michelle this morning I felt inspired. I still do! And I want to pass on that feeling to you – by sharing their advice on the blog very soon.
