I’m super-organised. Always have been – thanks Dad! If I catch a train I’m there 15 minutes beforehand in case there’s a queue for tickets. If I’ve got an appointment I get everything ready the night before…. and the week before a wedding show, I’m googling constantly to see who’s exhibiting, who’s visiting, who’s excited about it all.
I thought: why not share? Pop everyone who’s talking about The Wedding Show this week on this page so you can see who I’m looking forward to meeting and who is busy preparing for Tatton Park this weekend.
My top picks for The Wedding Show at Tatton:
Boho Weddings and Events – I’ve followed wedding planner Kelly Hood from day one. She’s an inspiring, enthusiastic and friendly wedding planner with a real vision for her business and the passion to make your wedding amazing.
Chris Hanley Photography – my favourite top UK wedding photographer. Chris is a creative force, and his wife Claire is the friendliest, most charming lady you’ll meet at Tatton Wedding Show this weekend! I can’t wait to see the Chris Hanley Photography stand.
The Jewellery Boutique – a new exhibit at Tatton, with four jewellery designers exhibiting in the same space. Get to this stand early as I imagine it will be one of the busiest spots by the afternoon. I’m looking forward to seeing designs by HF Couture here.
Kate Lewis Design – beautifully quirky wedding stationery with the cutest little illustrations – you’ll love these and I’m sure Kate’s stand at The Wedding Show will be buzzing with inspired brides!
Florentyna Dawn – a boutique specialising in mother of the bride and special occasion wear, I’ve seen Florentyna Dawn at wedding shows around the north west. I believe Florentyna Dawn will be gracing the catwalks at The Wedding Show this weekend.
Dragonfly Couture Stationery – in my day job as a calligrapher I’ve written on wedding invitations from Dragonfly and they’re beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the collection.
Sweet Days and Roses – a Cheshire wedding planner and lovely lady who tweets as @sweetdaysroses. Janey specialises in planning vintage weddings and elegant, distinctive celebrations.
Gillian Edgar Music – a Scottish singer-songwriter with some great music on his website – he tweeted this morning to say “don’t be shy” – so say hello!
Churchmouse Cheeses – last but definitely not least – Churchmouse Cheeses are on my list for a visit. I heard there’d be cheese-tasting, and the cheese wedding cakes on their website look lovely (I’m a big fan of cheese wedding cakes). They’re from my home county of Cumbria too! Owned by John and Jules – a husband and wife team. Follow twitter updates @cheesyjohn
