I’m not usually keen on making New Year’s resolutions – but this year I’m going public (typing this with one hand while biting the knuckles of the other in nervous anticipation): I am making resolutions and I’m going to try really hard to stick to them this year.
So, one: I’m going to do at least half an hour’s exercise every morning before work. This should cover all the other resolutions I could make which would be: get thin, get fit, lose 2 dress sizes (I’ll be happy if I can wriggle into a 14 for next Christmas), and the main one: get healthy. If you’re doing the same, please say hello! Moral support would be very welcome 🙂
And two: get organised. I’ve never been a stressy person but towards the end of this year I’ve been busy with English Wedding, running my 3 calligraphy websites, writing commissions of course and all my ‘life stuff’ – learning to ride my scooter and seeing the kids turn into proper teenagers. All of which has meant I’ve got a wee bit stressed, and it’s not like me – I’m as laid back as it gets! So I’m going to fix that with my ‘get organised’ resolution. If I can answer my emails every day, empty my (eight) inboxes and find time for me too, I’ll feel better and knock the stress on the head before it starts. The exercise will help too I think.
