Klass Act! Wedding planner launch

I’m not a big fan of the traditional press release, and more often than not I’ll send a cheeky reply to emails that land in my inbox asking for a better one. Sometimes it really pays off – and today as a result I’m very happy to be able to introduce you to Berkshire wedding planners Kate and Karen, henceforth to be known as Klass Act.

Klass Act Wedding and Events in Berkshire

Interesting name, I thought. UKAWP trained: impressive, I thought. But the press release entitled “From ‘Klassroom’ to Klass Act” was far too professional for English Wedding! So I got back in touch and asked for more. Kate didn’t disappoint with her second email, in fact she really won me over with tales of a cactus, boys in tights and the ‘teacher glare’!

Klass Act wedding planner launch – official version (extract)

Klass Act is run by Kate and Karen and is a bespoke wedding and event coordination service based in Berkshire, providing a range of packages to meet the needs of today’s modern bride.

As a headteacher and deputy headteacher in the same school, we are able to use our 25 years of shared senior management experience to plan events to perfection…  We use our creative and interpersonal skills from the classroom to relieve the stress involved and make every wedding unique.”

Klass Act wedding planner launch – creative version (in all its glory!)

“How did a head and deputy head teacher end up in the wedding planning business?

“Managing over 250 pupils and their parents, coordinating 45 staff, and creating an ever changing stimulating environment make us the perfect wedding planning pair!

From creating a carnival float using an inflatable cactus and a few items from a dressing up cupboard to a musical extravaganza involving pupils, parents, refreshments and entertainment, no event is too big or too small for Klass Act to manage.

The transition from ‘Klassroom’ to Klass Act has been a smooth one. Working within a school, you have to be flexible, forward thinking, creative and always prepared for those last minute adjustments.

Our emergency kit consists of safety pins for those missing costume buttons, wet towels in case of fire with the Christmas Christingles, not to mention sick bags always at the ready! And all this working within a tight school budget.

Organising whole school productions and communicating with both children and adults to ensure these run without a hitch is no mean feat! Rest assured we have the perfect skills to organise any wedding to perfection.

We have perfected the ‘teacher glare’ and of course have the customary ‘eyes in the back of our head’ to ensure that wedding suppliers deliver what we are trying to achieve.

We have mastered the art of persuasion to achieve the best results for our clients. If we can persuade a ten year old boy and his male teacher to wear a pair of green Tudor tights, we can achieve anything!

Having worked closely together at school for the past two years, we have a great working relationship and believe that two heads are always better than one!

Kate and Karen are wedding planners Klass Act

Kate and Karen: a Klass Act for sure!

“While Kate favours a modern, contemporary approach (alongside a huge passion for shoes), Karen enjoys exploring alternatives to the traditional style (she doesn’t have time for shoes, she’s got six year old twins!)
