Vintage wedding in Lancashire

bride on a vintage bus

Vanessa on the wedding bus: a beautiful bride, beautifully photographed.

This latest wedding feature from the blog of Manchester photographer Neil Redfern is like a step back in time. With everything from handmade bunting to a vintage bus – and not just your usual red London bus – this is gorgeous!

If you’re planning a vintage wedding, Vanessa and Michael’s day should be the perfect inspiration to fill you with amazing ideas!

The vintage wedding bus en route. It made two trips before the wedding, taking the groom and bride to the church in turn.

Groom and sheds

Michael poses by what (in my mind) look like allotment sheds... pure old fashioned Lancashire!

Vintage orders of service

I love the orders of service - the colours and design are gorgeous and so different

wedding ceremony

The wedding ceremony takes place at St Anne's Church. I love the "you may kiss the bride" photo.

St Anne’s Church, Chapeltown (near Bolton), locally called “the cathedral on the hill” is an amazing building with magnificent architecture and a weathervane made by Fred Dibnah!

In church, the pretty bridesmaids with their bouquets are wonderfully colourful

I am going to leave the rest of this blog post for tomorrow (as my broken paw is protesting!). The last images (and those lovely orders of service) hint at the rainbow of wonderful colours that made Vanessa and Michael’s wedding reception so striking and individual.

They couldn’t have chosen a better photographer for their day: award winning wedding photographer Neil Redfern caught every moment and every gorgeous detail perfectly.

See more here on the blog tomorrow, or head over to English Wedding on Facebook for a preview pic of the glorious colours at Vanessa and Michael’s reception.

Love Vintage weddings and Lancashire is where i’m from!! Anyway, as a wedding videographer I love themed weddings. In the same way that the details are important for any wedding photographer they are also my favourite part to film as they make a big impact on the final wedding video. Nice photos and thanks for sharing!!
