I love a winter wedding! There’s something indulgent and exciting about getting married on a crisp winter’s day, and our wonderful English stately homes are the perfect setting for ceremonies and celebrations alike.
I’m over the moon to be able to show you these gorgeous images of a winter wedding, which Mark Tierney (Tierney Photography) has kindly offered to share with the English-Wedding blog.
Jade and Lee Baldwin were married at Wortley Hall in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The photographs of their wedding capture the atmosphere of the day so beautifully, from exquisite details: Jade’s bouquet, the wonderful horse and carriage! to quiet moments shared by the beautiful bride and her groom in the glorious grounds of Wortley Hall.
If you’re planning a winter wedding in England, be sure to cater for a bit of weather. The white umbrellas Jade and Lee used on their day are a pretty addition to their photos! A little rain adds luscious colour to the outdoor photographs, and this lush green shot is a stunning image and a credit to Mark’s talent with the camera.
Choosing a stylish venue is key to the perfect English winter wedding. Jade and Lee’s choice of stately home was inspired. Wortley Hall oozes character, from the grand staircases to rich and traditional decor. The indoor photographs of the wedding are atmospheric, stylish and imaginative.
Congratulations to Jade and Lee… you make a lovely couple and I wish you many happy years together!
Thank you to Mark Tierney for sharing these wonderful wedding images with us!
