A bit more from my lit­tle soap­box about Get­ting Grounded when it comes to your wed­ding — I had a lit­tle think about wed­ding read­ings. I write out so many of these in my day job as a cal­lig­ra­pher, I have some firm favourites and some I see which don’t appeal so much to me on a per­sonal level.

The best wed­ding read­ings for me are those which look for­wards from the wed­ding day to the years of mar­riage ahead, and which have a cer­tain depth and matu­rity. They’re worth a read if you’re get­ting bogged down in all the plan­ning and details of your wed­ding day.  Read more…
