New sponsor welcome: Kat Forsyth Photography
Hi everyone! I have a lovely new sponsor to tell you about this morning: a lady with a passion and a story — wedding photographer Kat Forsyth has joined our little team on English Wedding blog.

Kat is a wedding photographer from South Africa, who specialises in fun, fresh and natural wedding photography with an artistic and creative feel. If anyone’s now thinking, “well that’s a bit of a long way” — Kat has joined English Wedding as a sponsor because she’s moving to the UK in early 2012 and, very happily for English brides and grooms, she’s going to be a London wedding photographer (she’ll be happy to travel anywhere for a wedding, of course!). Which is fab!
English Wedding blog sponsor: Phil Drinkwater Photography
I’ve made a new friend. Wedding photographer Phil Drinkwater sent in Emma and Tom’s gorgeous Cheshire wedding to feature on the blog at the beginning of September. I followed it up with a wedding inspiration board and we got chatting. I’m absolutely delighted to now welcome Phil as a new sponsor of the English Wedding blog.
Phil — thank you for your support and a huge, official welcome from me! It’s lovely to welcome you not only as a sponsor of the English Wedding blog but also to have your contribution as one of the Wedding Experts here on the blog.
The wedding day after photography blog
Wedding photographer Hannah Beatrice got in touch with me to share something a little different — and as you all know, English Wedding blog is definitely into anything that breaks with convention! So this shoot is here as an inspiration and idea for any brides and grooms out there who, for whatever reason, might choose to have a photo shoot the day after their wedding.
English Wedding photo shoot — Ellenborough Park
Bring on the glitz and glamour — let’s brighten up a working morning with a little luxury, sparkle, glamour and elegance in a stunning stately home wedding venue shall we?
Jonathon Watkins of Photoglow Photography sent me this beautiful collection of photographs which showcase his style and approach to shooting weddings. And I love it: this is what English Wedding blog is all about, embracing glamour and stunning imagery.
The bridal shoot took place at Ellenborough Park, which is a luxurious stately home just outside Cheltenham. With a history dating back to the 1400s, Ellenborough Park is a fascinating and magnificent venue for weddings, and the perfect location for a wedding photo shoot!

I don’t love you any more
Dear blog… I’m sorry. I’ve strayed. I’ve found something else, fallen head over heels for a rival… it’s new and exciting, different and it’s taking up all my free time.
I’ve been hooked by Pinterest! And dearest English Wedding blog, while you’ll always be foremost in my heart (after all, I do love you in the deep and meaningful-est of ways) — I’m having a flirtation with Pinterest. Call it a crush.
New sponsor welcome: Tux and Tales
I’m very happy to welcome my latest sponsor to English Wedding. Tux and Tales are wedding photographers Jaye and Matt. I’ve had a few lovely email chats with lead photographer Jaye and I can vouch for how lovely she is: she giggles at the same things I do. Which is always a bonus!
But anyways — this little intro blog post is to tell you about Tux and Tales and show you their work, so I shouldn’t waffle. I’ve included a few pics here but you should really check out the Tux and Tales English Wedding Showcase Page to find out more.
Rings n Veils forest bridal shoot
How can I introduce today’s English Wedding blog feature? Well… it’s for me. It’s a bridal shoot that I want to be in. Or maybe I want to be it. It’s striking, stunning, different and inspiring. It’s a confidence thing, about nature and being in your element. It’s about being a gorgeous bride and therefore beautiful. (All photo credits: Rings n Veils wedding photography)
It’s about fairytales. But not fairytales with a simpering princess who needs rescuing… fairytales with a strong princess, a gorgeous heroine who’ll have an adventure all of her own and win your heart. A fairytale, perhaps, where the forces of nature are enchanting and captivating and mother nature plays a vital role.
The right kind of photography for wedding blogs?
May I indulge myself today and muse a little? Perhaps you can help answer the questions in my tummy — all about wedding blogs, wedding photography, inspiration and indulgence…
Sometimes an idea just pops in and I run with it. I find myself thinking about different styles of wedding photography and how bloggers feature weddings — ultimately, about how brides– and grooms-to-be read and enjoy wedding blogs.
Details and wedding inspiration
The big wedding blogs — the likes of Style Me Pretty, Ruffled and Love My Dress to name only a few of my favourites — feature weddings full of details: flowers, table decorations, accessories, signs and all those beautiful little ideas we love.
Tatton Wedding Show — in pictures

Red Floral Architecture was a real star of the show for me — with incredible flower designs in the entrance as well as on their stand. More to come later in the week!

by RSVP Now — beautiful pink and gold table dressing with calligraphy by the very talented Juliet

The ice sculptures were impressive! I loved the wedding table plan (laminated and then… glazed?) encased in ice and the way it flows around the edges. Beautiful! This was by Glacial Art — award winning, internationally renowned master craftsmen.

Unique and inspiring real wedding

A passionate kiss and a fantastic image with vintage processing
How to describe this wedding in a short title… yikes: couldn’t do it! Nicky and Martyn will be familiar to many of you from the English Wedding e-shoot week we did in January. Little did I know when I featured one of wedding photographer Mark Tierney’s favourite engagement shoots that the couple were already married and that their wedding photographs would blow me away.
