Beautiful vintage wedding in Wales

A gorgeous bride and groom photo

Love is…

The wave of beautiful vintage themed weddings just doesn’t seem to stop — and I’m really loving all the gorgeous vintage wedding photography around at the moment.

Allison and Jeremy had a gorgeous wedding day in Wales, complete with pink rose flower arrangements Allison had made herself, a beautiful and unusual wedding venue, and a wedding dress and lace shrug that are out of this world!

A very English wedding

Sophie and Chris’s gorgeous April wedding is such a perfect fit for my blog, I’m delighted to share it with you. Wedding photographer Kevin Mullins submitted these pictures last month, and I hope you’ll find them truly inspiring as I do! Sit back and enjoy…

Sophie looks very much the English rose (honestly, this wedding couldn’t be more perfect for us!) She applied her own wedding make up and I love the romance of this picture with the wedding veil and mirror.

A glorious wedding photo, an explosion of colour on a winter’s day!

This English wedding is a delightful combination of lots of subtle elements: vintage lace, gorgeous colours, festive sparkle and sophisticated details. The bride and groom are Theresa and Chris and they got married at St. Peter’s Church in Cirencester this December. Theresa’s amazing smile and all the wonderful details of the are fantastic, and I hope they’ll inspire you!

Today I’m in love with Twitter for introducing me to Emily Quinton. Emily’s wedding photography is amazing and I’ve spent a happy hour or two this week gazing at her wedding photography blog!

Emily photographed this beautiful English winter wedding back in October. Bride Amelia is from New Zealand, and groom Dougie is Scottish… they met halfway and were married at Barnt Green in the West Midlands.

What’s so special about English weddings? They’re cool.

This is my lightbulb moment. This is why we want to see English wedding pictures — and right now, for me, Lee Allen is a revelation! His style is elegant and very contemporary, and this vintage wedding showcases his recent work  so, so well. Thanks Lee for letting me share these amazing vintage wedding photos!

Credit of course to the bride and groom: such a cool couple, and bride Katie is absolutely stunning in her vintage wedding dress and accessories. The wedding ceremony was held at Shugborough’s amazing Tower of the Winds, a great choice of venue which also has that vintage feeling to it.

Contemporary English Wedding in Henley

The English Wedding blog was launched to showcase contemporary English weddings, and I’m delighted to have this stunning day to share with you. Rosie Parsons photographed Derek and Shella’s wedding back in October, and captured a wonderfully creative mix of tradition and modern styles on the day.

The wedding ceremony was held on the river Thames, in Henley’s River and Rowing Museum! I love the choice of venue for the wedding, and it goes to show you don’t have to stick with a stately home or hotel to have your wedding — choose a fun location to make your wedding really memorable.
