Hello! How do you fancy being whisked away this morn­ing? As I sit at my desk to write this wed­ding blog post I’m still dream­ing of my hol­i­day in Corn­wall last month: golden sands, rich blue seas, sun­shine and happy days with fam­ily… and I’m sat here with my chin on my hands, wish­ing I could be mag­i­cally trans­ported back to the sea­side just for a lit­tle while longer!

Summer campervan wedding

Jan­ice and Andy’s wed­ding in rural Hert­ford­shire. A stun­ning cou­ple, and a fab­u­lous campervan!

This is a gor­geous wed­ding, full of sum­mery colours and smiles, with all the charm of the Eng­lish countryside.

Pho­tog­ra­pher Tamara Kuzmin­ski sub­mit­ted these amaz­ing wed­ding pic­tures for the Eng­lish Wed­ding blog, and I fell in love with her pho­tog­ra­phy straight away — every image is full of sun­shine and light, and shot in a really pretty con­tem­po­rary style.

Jan­ice and Andy were mar­ried in rural Hert­ford­shire. Their theme was pretty pink and green, with ger­bera but­ton­holes and bou­quets. The mar­quee — in an open field — was dec­o­rated with pretty hand­made bunting and each place set­ting had a ger­bera and ivy spray.  Read more…

Crondon Park wedding

I love these wed­ding pho­tographs from Mel and Dan’s Eng­lish wed­ding in Essex, at Cron­don Park Golf & Coun­try Club. The bride and groom live in Aus­tralia, and as Dan is orig­i­nally from Eng­land, they decided to have their wed­ding here. I’m glad they did! (or I’d have to start a whole new Aus­tralian Wed­ding blog to fea­ture this!)

I love the back­drop for this pic­ture — and the shoes are perfect.

Mel’s wed­ding shoes are lovely, with sim­ple dou­ble bows on the open toe, and cute lit­tle heels. I love the frame of the mir­ror behind the shoes on the man­tel­piece as well, it adds a lovely tex­ture and rich colour to the photograph.

Leeds Castle wedding

The breath­tak­ing Eng­lish wed­ding venue that is Leeds Cas­tle deserves a lav­ish wed­ding, beau­ti­ful details and an excel­lent wed­ding pho­tog­ra­pher. And in this wed­ding sub­mit­ted by pho­tog­ra­pher Yvette Craig, it got all three with bells on! Enjoy!

Anissa and Gra­ham eloped, but hav­ing missed out on a big wed­ding they decided to have a wed­ding bless­ing at Leeds Cas­tle in front of all their friends and fam­ily. Anissa is Amer­i­can, and met her British hus­band Gra­ham in San Fran­cisco. Their wed­ding bless­ing was a lux­u­ri­ous event and see­ing all the smiles — and some tears — in the wed­ding pho­tographs shows it was an unfor­get­table day.  Read more…

Summer wedding in purple

A beau­ti­ful rose dis­play in pur­ples and pinks

This wed­ding sub­mis­sion from Jon Rous­ton is a really inspir­ing one for me. Kyla and John were mar­ried in Der­byshire in the sum­mer­time, and their wed­ding colours are beau­ti­ful pur­ples with shades of soft pinks in the wed­ding flow­ers — a lovely, romantic theme for a sum­mer wedding.

This image is a great exam­ple of the photographer’s approach to wed­dings. Jon takes infor­mal pho­tos through­out the day, let­ting Kyla and her flower girl enjoy the make up ses­sion before the wed­ding cer­e­mony. This photo is one of my favourites, for Kyla’s won­der­ful smile in the back­ground as she watches the very seri­ous busi­ness of lip­stick appli­ca­tion in the fore­ground!    Read more…

The per­fect Eng­lish sum­mer wed­ding — a beau­ti­ful sunny day and gor­geous, colour­ful wed­ding pho­tos to treasure!
