Is your wedding business stuck in a rut?

Mine is. There you go — let’s start a blog post with a confession! My wedding calligraphy business is going well, I love the work but… there’s something missing. Is anyone else out there looking for a bit of creative inspiration to inject into their work?

I’ve spent the day with two friends who inspire me — and I’m going to make my New Year’s Resolution now. I know it’s a bit early (but the pagan side of me says the first of December is surely something a bit new-yeary in the calendar). I’m determined to branch out a little.

English wedding inspiration

I thought Sophie and Chris’s wedding celebrations complete with cricket, croquet and badminton on the lawn of their reception venue were so very English. I loved their sense of fun as well as their sense of style and the whole wedding just shone with old fashioned, charming Englishness at its very best.

Their wedding, photographed by the excellent Kevin Mullins, inspired today’s feature. I’ve had a great time finding the very best of English wedding inspiration for you. If you’re looking for that quintessential English charm and traditional style for your wedding, here are some lovely ideas to help you along.
