Today’s Eng­lish wed­ding blog is ded­i­cated to Trudie. Hello there Trudie! A lit­tle while ago I asked for wed­ding jew­ellery design­ers to share their best sparkly cre­ations over on the Eng­lish Wed­ding Show­case. It works a lit­tle like the wed­ding mag­a­zines: I sug­gest a theme and ask design­ers to show off their wares, pro­vid­ing all of you won­der­ful cou­ples with ideas for your wed­ding. One thing: I absolutely can’t pos­si­bly let this one get away with­out mak­ing an inspi­ra­tion board, I thought. Nicola and Chris cre­ated a wed­ding that was true to their per­son­al­i­ties, full of cre­ativ­ity and character.

Wed­ding inspi­ra­tion — Pretty in Pink

Choose a focus for your wed­ding dec­o­ra­tions — don’t spend a for­tune on every detail, but choose some­thing fab­u­lous that will be a real talk­ing point: in Suzy and Bruno’s case, the table cen­tre­pieces are stat­uesque and colour­ful with roses, feath­ers and foliage perched on glass pillars.

Keep your details ele­gant and sim­ple: a wed­ding table plan focus­ing on word art is a great idea. Suzy and Bruno chose sim­ple pink flow­ers for the four edges of their plan and an ornate black frame which I love.  Read more…

Yes­ter­day I fea­tured Emma and Tom’s wed­ding on the blog, a sophis­ti­cated and beau­ti­ful wed­ding at Cheshire’s lux­u­ri­ous Arley Hall. Behind the scenes I was hoard­ing some of the lovely detail pho­tos — wed­ding pho­tog­ra­pher Phil Drinkwa­ter sent me so many I was absolutely spoilt for choice.

Please do indulge my wed­ding inspi­ra­tion board phase… I absolutely love doing these right now! Per­haps it’s because I’m being sent so many bril­liant pho­tos at the moment. Wed­ding pho­tog­ra­phers are such a gen­er­ous and cre­ative bunch of peo­ple :)

Get the look! Wedding inspiration

Hands up who loves Parma Vio­lets?! I do. And I do even more now I’ve seen Jayne and Phil’s parma vio­let inspired wed­ding recep­tion at the Lowry, Man­ches­ter. With all pho­tos by Chris Han­ley Pho­tog­ra­phy, take a peek at this fab wed­ding inspi­ra­tion board — it’s purple-tastic.

Jayne and Phil’s wed­ding was at The Lowry in Man­ches­ter, a mod­ern the­atre with cre­ative inte­ri­ors in every colour you can imag­ine. The wed­ding recep­tion room how­ever is a blank can­vas, so Jayne and Phil chose shades of pur­ple to make it look amaz­ing for their wed­ding day.  Read more…
