Get the look! Vibrant wedding detail ideas

If you were here yes­ter­day you’ll remem­ber Ruth and Dan’s wed­ding day in the school­house at Small­wood Manor — and you may also remem­ber I hinted at the glo­ri­ously colour­ful details and then didn’t show you any.

Ah… meanie! But here they are. Wed­ding pho­tog­ra­pher Katy Lunsford sent me so many beau­ti­ful pho­tos I had to write two blog posts for Ruth and Dan’s wed­ding — so you get a whole ded­i­cated ‘get the look’ fea­ture today, all inspired by (and with pho­tos from) Ruth and Dan’s day.

A Splash of Colour!

Time to share another wed­ding by one of my favourite Eng­lish wed­ding pho­tog­ra­phers — Lee Allen Pho­tog­ra­phy. This time it’s Nicky and Chris, who were mar­ried at York­shire Sculp­ture Park in the summer.

I love Nicky’s corset — the rich turquoise / blue is gor­geous, and she really stands out from the crowd! The full skirt she wore is a beau­ti­ful con­trast with the corset, and her wrap just adds another layer of love­li­ness. Chris looks great in a grey suit with red check shirt, top but­ton undone… it’s a relaxed, sum­mery, happy wed­ding theme and I think it’s great. I’ll get to the wellies later…  Read more…

The per­fect Eng­lish sum­mer wed­ding — a beau­ti­ful sunny day and gor­geous, colour­ful wed­ding pho­tos to treasure!

This lat­est wed­ding was sub­mit­ted by Lisa Dawn Pho­tog­ra­phy and is such a visual treat! Bride Anna and groom James were mar­ried in August, at St Mary’s Church in Weston-Super-Mare. Their recep­tion was at Huntstile Organic Farm.
