Lincolnshire wedding

Brendan and Maria were married in May at the De Vere Hotel in Belton Woods, Lincolnshire. Maria’s striking looks caught my eye — she has gorgeous long hair done beautifully for her wedding day — so any brides with long locks, this one’s for you!

The wedding photography is by Courtney Louise, who is based in Lincolnshire and as well as doing weddings is a fantastic fashion photographer (have a look at Courtney Louise’s Facebook page if you have a minute).

Wedding ideas: black and white

Once again inspired by Sunday’s Irish wedding sent in by Greenlees Photography, and with thanks yet again to bride Jo’s fantastic sense of fun — this wedding blog post pays homage to Guinness. Yes. Well, why not?!

bride drinking guinnessSo to honour the velvety black and white imagery Guinness have used for years, I’ve found the best black and white wedding ideas on the web. (OK, it’s tenuous — but the ideas are gorgeous, so stick with me!)

A wedding in two halves

bride with red bouquet

Annie is today’s beautiful bride, in a sleek white wedding gown with her lovely red gerbera bouquet

Annie and Matt’s wedding has everything: the beautiful bride, super cool groom, elegance, sophistication, smiles and laughter. I fell in love with the photos of this wedding day on photographer Joseph Yarrow’s blog, and especially with how the day flows from exquisite black and white photos to a riot of fabulous colour. Hence my title, “a wedding of two halves”.

Creative Wedding Photography: Keri and Beatsy

I was so chuffed when Yorkshire wedding photographer Amanda Crowther offered to share some wedding photos with the English Wedding blog. Amanda’s photography style is creative and fun, and her images tell a story, capturing every moment.

Creative wedding photography at its best – the blowing veil makes this a stunning image

This is one of my favourite photographs from Keri and Beatsy’s wedding… but there are so many great images to choose from! Amanda has a talent for capturing not only the moments of this English wedding that are wonderful, memorable and emotional, but also those that simply look amazing in print!
