A Cheshire wedding film — with a vintage police car!
Good morning! How was your weekend? I hope you survived the snow… and had some fun playing in it too! Back to weddings now, and I have an absolute cracker to begin the week with. Zoe and Mark’s Cheshire wedding has bags of character and is guaranteed to make you smile. Zoe is beautiful, they make a fantastic couple and the wedding film will bring a tear to your eye… I should mention it’s by the lovely Craig at Unforgettable Memories.

I’m sharing this wedding in two blog features, this morning and tomorrow (there’s something VERY special and exciting on the way this afternoon at 4pm in between!) — the wedding film is simply amazing, and I’ve shared a little of Zoe’s wedding report with you here. My huge thanks to Jonny Draper Photography for sharing the lovely images of the day with us all today.
New sponsor welcome: Deneemotion wedding films
There are always hundreds of things happening at English Wedding Blog — one of the loveliest is that I have Deneemotion wedding films as my newest blog sponsor. Denis and Max have joined my select group of sponsors this autumn and I’m delighted to have them on the team.
Sisi & Damita | The Way You Are from Deneemotion Wedding Cinema on Vimeo.
Deneemotion’s approach to filming & editing is creative and free of cliches. Their approach is fresh and innovative, and their wedding films are sensitively and beautifully made. Denis and Max are based in London, but have filmed in California, the Caribbean, Croatia, France, Cyprus, Ireland and Scotland so far. They’re hot property, having featured on many of the top wedding blogs around the world!
Thornton Manor wedding film — with dinosaur story
A quick, simple and very beautiful wedding blog post for you this morning everyone — Aaron from Reel Weddings emailed me with a little compliment about my calligraphy and this little message “thought I’d send you this little email to see if you wished to pop this film on your blog. It’s a little bit vintage and 60s inspired with a chilled and relaxed day with lots of shots of the sun. We like the sun. We miss it.”
I miss it too. But it’s lovely to remember what it was like! More to the point this is the most delightful little wedding film from one of my favourite venues. The story of the ‘other lovely dinosaur’ sets a lighthearted and romantic tone, and everything about Caroline and Warren’s wedding appeals to me — I’m still smiling to myself, ten minutes after watching their wedding film.
This might make you cry a little!
Morning everyone. Pens down for a sec please: I’m very happy to say it’s movie time!… and I’m going to make you cry. There’s a split second glance in this little wedding film that tells me Jane and Steve both knew they’d be in tears — and they are. It’s beautiful to watch though, and I love seeing a groom covered in happy tears! The film is by the ever-so-lovely Marry Me Films
The Wedding Film of Jane & Steve at Iscoyd Park from Marry Me Films on Vimeo.
Wedding highlights to watch out for:
- Jane looks gorgeous in a beautiful, figure-hugging strapless dress.
- Steve’s nerves build from the very beginning — but when he sees his bride, your heart will melt! And from then on, the smiles don’t stop.
What a wonderful thing love is…
Lauren and Pat’s Wedding Highlights from Love Gets Sweeter on Vimeo.
A little something special for today — 3:44 minutes of romance with Lauren* and Pat’s lovely wedding feature film from Love Gets Sweeter. I love blogging wedding films like this — it’s wonderful to sit back, turn my speakers up, grab a biscuit (just to hold) and smile, giggle and cry a bit along with the movie!
Highlights of this wedding film for me (and for you to watch out for):
- Hubert the dog is so cuddleable
- the boys cycling their way around London (a bit wibbly)
- Lauren’s fabulous dress by Enzoani is amazing on her! Properly elaborate and beautiful — and on such a gorgeous bride it looks incredible. Watch for the swishing through the park…
Romance, tears, kilts and sunsets
Neil Wedding Video– Heaton House Farm Cheshire from silk wedding videos on Vimeo.
This gorgeous wedding film by Silk Wedding Videos needs very little introduction. A beautiful bride in a ruffled wedding dress; her gorgeous (and tearful) groom in kilt and sporren; an idyllic Cheshire location and about as loved up as a wedding video can be.
Wedding video highlights:
- the adorable bridesmaid watching preparations in the morning
- tears from the groom and his heartwarming vows
- a lovely Scottish accent and bagpipers to go with it!
- dogs in collars made of roses. Eat your heart out Tamara!
Enjoy x

Real wedding film from Thornton Manor
Victoria and David’s wedding is gorgeous — when Sara and Tony from Marry Me Films got in touch I instantly fell in love with this film from their Thornton Manor wedding. Victoria is a real English beauty, and her wedding dress covered in lace and sparkles is really, really lovely.
So today’s blog post is a quickie for me to write! Enjoy the wedding film — Paul Weller provides the romantic soundtrack by the way — and watch out for that first view of the magnificent ceiling* inside Thornton Manor. You’ll also be impressed, I think, by Victoria and David’s six tier wedding cake. Yes — six tiers! Wow…

The Future of Vintage: reprise
Yay! I’ve been waiting to see this piece of film about The Future of Vintage bridal photo shoot I featured last week on English Wedding. Into my inbox it popped yesterday and it’s brilliant! (Literally! — those colours… that sunshine…)
The Future Of Vintage Shoot from silk wedding videos on Vimeo.
Tom Harrington — previous star of his own engagement shoot on English Wedding — is the director of Silk Wedding Videos in Manchester, and was a big part of The Future of Vintage shoot at Styal Lodge.
“The future of vintage shoot was great fun to be involved in and an excellent opportunity to get some of the very best names in the wedding industry together to do what they do best!
Our Vlog Preview
Days to go: 7
I’m up early today. No, not because of the other wedding but because I constantly have butterflies in my tummy about my wedding. In a week’s time I shall be showered and breakfasted and the hair and make up artists will have arrived and the party will be getting underway. How is this time here already?
I thought I’d share with you a little something that landed on my twitter feed this morning from good ole’ Jeff, our videographer. He says he has lots more footage to share with us from our strange experience of creating an engagement video/time capsule thing, but here’s a preview of what’s to come!

A real wedding: oh so peaceful until…
Nothing conveys the atmosphere of a wedding day more than a little music, and that’s why I love watching wedding films. This one’s a special treat though, as Cristina and MP’s Aviemore wedding film really matches the music to the rapidly changing spirit of their wedding day!
From the madcap crazy antics of the boys getting ready to the serenity and quiet excitement of the girls’ preparation in the morning, to the wedding vows in church and then the party afterwards, the film by Love Gets Sweeter captures the moments and accompanies them in style.
Charlene from Love Gets Sweeter warned me the music is “a bit marmite” and I was intrigued. Turns out I bloody love marmite! I think you might just love this too… takes a bit of talent to fit a wedding film to a soundtrack like this one but it’s beautifully done!
