How did you choose your photographer?

We actually found him through Instagram via his partner who i’d been following for a little while. We were looking for images that were really natural & really bright & colourful & Greg seemed to tick all the boxes

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!

We loved them. Greg really captured the spirit of the wedding. It was a big Jewish wedding with lots of traditions, energy & dancing & Greg managed to capture all of it. Lots of energy and although it was black tie the images came out really relaxed and natural.

Videographer details if applicable – and any thoughts for other couples about having a wedding video?

We actually went with an app called VidiCrew, where the guest film throughout the day & VidiCrew edit it all together. Really affordable & a much more natural way to capture a wedding. Everyone got to be part of the story.

Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?

We got married at the Runnymede Hotel in Surrey. We really wanted to get married outside & this venue had really beautiful gardens overlooking the river. The sun was shining and it was just perfect

Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?

In all honesty, my dress experience was a little stressful with having to do a last min alteration 2 days before the wedding as the dress shop messed up, but once i was in it on the day, I loved it. When else do you get to wear a beautiful ivory dress made just for you. Rich’s suit shopping was a little more straight forward, we decided to go more traditional & have a black wedding but Rich put his own spin on it having a white bow tie to contrast with the rest of the groomsmen

Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness

We had the best florist. They went above and beyond & made the whole experience so much fun. We discovered them in my mums home town in Southend so had lots of fun trips down to the seaside in the run up to the wedding

Did you hire a wedding planner?

We planned the whole thing ourselves, with the help of our family of course. Was a big task but with the help of our amazing suppliers they helped bring our vision to life.

As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?

The wonderful Tami made our cake and it was amazing! I wanted something a little abstract but she got my concept straight away & was so happy with the results! It tasted amazing & was so much fun working on it together in the run up

Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves

For our party favours we decided to donate to our chosen charity Cancer Research UK and gave everyone pins to wear on the day which was really special to us.

Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?

We had a Jewish religious ceremony so did not have our own vows, however the ceremony was beautiful & my father sang a prayer during the service that made everyone cry!

What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?

We went modern & chose Ed Sheeran The Best Part Of Me. The first time we heard it & listen to the words just spoke to us, like the song was written just for us. When we danced to it, it felt like no one else was in the room apart from us.

Huge shout out to our amazing caterers Just Perfect Events. The food was absolutely spectacular, with friends still talking about it now!

Our band The White Keys were also amazing as well. We wanted a live show band and these guys blew us away. There’s wasn’t any part of the night that no one was on the dance floor
