Monday Makerie: easy moroccan inspired lanterns and more…

This week’s Monday Makerie is dedicated to I Am Staggered. Hello fellas!

This week I want to share ideas for all of you creatively minded brides– and grooms-to-be. Whether you want to make your own wedding crafty bits or buy handmade treats for your wedding, you’ll find something to inspire you here!

Table decorations, wedding favours, or just something to make on a dull Monday: Moroccan inspired mini lanterns from Design Sponge

Aren’t they gorgeous? There’s a full how-to blog post over at Design Sponge, and they’re easy to make from sauce or jam jars — it’s just glass paint on the inside and gold paint on the outside (the stuff you get in a little tube that’s quite chunky).

How about some air plant wedding favours to decorate your offices? I found these on the Project Wedding Blog, they’re by Mary Swenson and they’re just mad enough to be gorgeous!

Our very own Star Bride Sally blogged a little how-to feature for origami fortune teller wedding favours. These are so much fun… I followed her instructions and made one in minutes.

Etsy’s fantastic for wedding craft inspiration — I love this emailable save the date idea! Little Sparrow Stuff will design your Save the Date for you, all you need to do is email it to your guests!

More from the Monday Makerie next week!

Love those lanterns and always a sucker for a cocktail but what I really really want is that 1950s gorgeous dress!

I love your Monday blogs — they are so inspiring!
There are so many pretty things for every possible theme/colour scheme — but this is why I’m struggling to pick, as soon as I do I will think about all the lovely things I’ll miss out on because they don’t fit with what I’ve picked! It’s driving me barmy :) Fortunately, I’ve managed to book people who haven’t tried to pin me down about specifics yet but soon I’m going to have to answer some questions!!

Thank you Sally, Jenny, Viki! Glad you’re enjoying the new Monday feature :)
Viki you’ll find lots of lovely things I’m sure… let me know if you come across anything you think would fit in the Monday Makerie won’t you! I think personally my wedding would be multi coloured and eclectic so I could have one of everything. Or minimalist so I didn’t have to choose!

Intrigued by your blog about Twitter, cakes and quotes. That is a weird situation… I wonder if there are businesses on there tweeting as brides? As for sharing quotes — that’s why it’s so important to find a wedding supplier you can trust. Interesting blog post :)
