Posed wedding photography can be stunning — but today this natural picture of Jane’s brilliant smile from under a sea of umbrellas with rain pouring down is so wonderful, I love it!
There’s so much to this Beeston Manor wedding I didn’t know what to call the blog post. I could have started with the lovely purple theme and details: the quirky bouquet made of satin roses, buttons and beads, interwoven with family heirlooms is gorgeous.
Then there’s the first dance and the time when Chris picked up his trombone to play with the band, to Jane’s surprise and delight! I absolutely adore special moments like this and the photographs capture the moment beautifully.
The wedding theme was purple. Jane and her bridesmaids made an early start with the colour scheme!
The girls look beautiful with hair and make up done, even in their matching purple robes!
Jane’s expressive smile makes these photographs. She’s beautiful — clearly on the inside as well as on the surface! This photograph with her dad captures a lovely moment.
Jane gave Chris this exquisite pocket watch as a wedding present. I think it’s beautiful (and I want one!)
The wedding ceremony
I shouldn’t say this really… but the vicar actually looks like God. More pics on the McAvoy Photography blog. Sorry. But he really does.
The portrait shots are fab — the wind makes them even better
A wedding veil blowing in the wind won’t necessarily do what you’d like it to… but this is brilliant!
And finally we see Jane in her wedding dress and that gorgeous veil. She’s absolutely beautiful and her smile lights up the photograph.

Thanks to McAvoy photography for sending in this wedding for us to share. I hope you enjoy the moments as much as I have!
Jane and Chris — I hope your marriage is as full of those blissful happy moments as your wedding day clearly was!
