This engagement photo session from ARJ Photography inspired the entire concept of e-shoot week on the English Wedding blog.
Adam from ARJ Photography submitted his images of Sally and Lee at Trentham Gardens near Stoke before Christmas and I fell in love with the sparkly snow, bright sunlight and beautiful location — with Lee and Sally being such a fantastic couple and Adam’s enthusiasm for the shoot, this couldn’t be more perfect.

A beautiful sunny day and a loved-up couple — there’s magic in the air for this shoot by ARJ Photography

Sally is completely at ease with the camera — and looks amazing for it. I love her look: the hat is fab and I want that coat!

This is one of my favourite images — so romantic! (There are many more I love in this shoot too…) The look in Sally and Lee’s eyes says it all.

Ice and fountains and sunshine — so beautiful. The sparkly effect in this image is magical; a really creative engagement photo and my favourite of this shoot by ARJ Photography

For a moment it could almost be summer… the sunlight through the trees creates a lovely warm feeling in this shot

This timeless image is another of my favourites. On a countryside shoot like this one, you could be anywhere, anytime — it’s just all about you.

Saving the very best for last… Could this be any better?! Adam was setting up this beautiful image with the sun behind Sally and Lee when a hot air balloon just drifted into the shot!
This has been an incredible engagement shoot by ARJ Photography. The location really sets the style for your pre-wedding photography so choose somewhere you love, somewhere that inspires you or somewhere you feel at home for your engagement shoot.
I love Adam’s photography style and I think it shines through from these images that he can really get the very best from people — Sally and Lee clearly loved the photo session and I can’t wait to see their wedding photos… they were married in December and there’s one gorgeous wedding pic on the ARJ Photography facebook page — more soon I hope, Adam! (hint!)
If you’re wondering about booking your own pre-wedding or engagement shoot, read Adam’s guest blog post first. He shares some great advice: why it’s important, what to expect and what you’ll get out of your engagement photography.
ARJ Photography is based in Manchester and Cheshire, but Adam will travel further if you’ve fallen in love with these shots as I have! Visit www.arj-photo.co.uk for more information.

Stunning photos!
I agree that the Ice, fountains and sunshine photo is gorgeous, the sparkly effects of the sun is so pretty. What a romantic shoot.
Lee and Sally must have felt so at ease to have such beautiful, relaxed photos taken. There love for each other shines out.
(Love Sally’s hat too!)
Great photos! Really clear and lovely compositions
