Would you like a little extra sunshine in your life today? I’ve got some, all beautifully bundled up in this gorgeous wedding full of bright Caribbean colours. Maria’s family had travelled from Trinidad for the wedding, and even booked a steel band to play at the reception as a surprise.
Happily for Maria and Tom, their choice of gorgeous orange and yellow for the flowers and decorations at their wedding more than made up for the Yorkshire skies (which weren’t quite up to Trinidadian standards that day)!
Maria and Tom were married in August in Kirkburton, Yorkshire, and held their wedding reception at Wortley Hall in Barnsley. All of these gorgeous images are courtesy of Yorkshire wedding photographer Mark Tierney.
I love Maria’s hair — it’s a gorgeous half-up, half-down wedding style for long hair, with big waves — perfect for such a stunning bride.
Tom and his best men wait at the church, praying and looking towards the skies… Tom wears a long jacket, grey trousers and a white tie.
The wedding breakfast tables at Wortley Hall are inspiring. I really admire how Maria’s used such gorgeous colours to transform a very stately, almost dark dining room into such a bright, sunny place! The table centrepieces are wonderful with orange gerberas and yellow gladioli.
I feel so happy when I look at Maria and Tom’s wedding photos — sometimes you can just tell when a bride and groom are head over heels in love with each other.
Maria and Tom — congratulations and I wish you many, many happy years of married life.
Thank you to Mark from Tierney Photography in Yorkshire for submitting this wedding.
