Colourful caribbean wedding (in Yorkshire)

Would you like a lit­tle extra sun­shine in your life today? I’ve got some, all beau­ti­fully bun­dled up in this gor­geous wed­ding full of bright Caribbean colours. Maria’s fam­ily had trav­elled from Trinidad for the wed­ding, and even booked a steel band to play at the recep­tion as a surprise.

Hap­pily for Maria and Tom, their choice of gor­geous orange and yel­low for the flow­ers and dec­o­ra­tions at their wed­ding more than made up for the York­shire skies (which weren’t quite up to Trinida­dian stan­dards that day)!

Maria and Tom were mar­ried in August in Kirk­bur­ton, York­shire, and held their wed­ding recep­tion at Wort­ley Hall in Barns­ley. All of these gor­geous images are cour­tesy of York­shire wed­ding pho­tog­ra­pher Mark Tier­ney.

The wed­ding break­fast tables at Wort­ley Hall are inspir­ing. I really admire how Maria’s used such gor­geous colours to trans­form a very stately, almost dark din­ing room into such a bright, sunny place! The table cen­tre­pieces are won­der­ful with orange ger­beras and yel­low gladioli.
