If any boys are reading this, look away now. This wedding is girly, summery, and as pretty in pink as they get! Kirstin and Tom were married in the Lake District in early July — the perfect time of year for peonies!
The wedding photographer was Simon Hudspeth, who is based in Durham.
Watch out for new English Wedding sponsor features coming soon — Simon is one of our sponsors and helped this blog get off the ground back in 2009.
My favourite images from this wedding are the bride and groom on the doorstep of the gorgeous Westlakes Hotel in Gosforth — a lovely English wedding venue where I used to babysit as a teenager. (About a hundred years ago)
Muncaster Church dates from 1140 — that’s almost 900 years old! It’s “open to all, of all religions for quiet reflection and prayer… still in active use as the spiritual home of the Parish of Muncaster.”

Happily married, Kirstin and Tom share a kiss. I love these two because it shows that they’re head over heels in love!

Not only is Kirstin one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever featured, her love for Tom is written all over her face and then some!
The Westlakes Hotel is on the quietest edge of the Western Lake District, one of the UK’s favourite beauty spots close to the glorious mountains and a pebble’s throw from the seaside! It dates from 1870, a Georgian period home typical of the Lakes.
There are more peonies, but for now think of these as a taster. Can you wait just one day for an inspiration board? It’ll be gorgeous — all made up from Simon Hudspeth’s photography and oh so lovely and pink!
The venue decoration is beautiful. Marquees are always full of natural light and decorated simply they look divine.

The wedding tables are deliciously simple, in white and pastels with those lovely peonies as centrepieces
Thanks to Simon Hudspeth for his kind permission to feature this wedding on the blog. Please show Simon some love by checking out his website at www.SimonHudspeth.co.uk and see more real weddings on the blog at simonhudspeth.blogspot.com.
Check back here tomorrow afternoon for a gorgeous ‘get the look’ feature with pink peonies, from this very wedding photographed by Simon Hudspeth.

Gorgeous! I had peonies in my bouquet, just a few because I’m allergic to the pollen and didn’t need to be sneezing on the big day! Can’t wait to see the inspiration board for it!

I really like these. I really like the ring shot.
The boys at Staggered enjoyed looking at these more than we care to admit.

I love the classic combination of colour and black and white photos . Very traditional, very girly and the weather even managed to stay fine even in this country!
Thanks for the kind comments everybody — Tom & Kirstin were an absolute joy to work with, and yes we can confirm that they were one of the most loved-up couples we have ever had the pleasure to photograph

This looks like such an amazing wedding. Really like what youve done with the marquee. The table settings look spectacular. Good luck to both of you and I hope you had an fantastic day!
