It’s every bride’s dream — winning a wedding dress by your favourite designer, being styled and pampered by the experts and having them create your perfect dress. Amazingly, for lucky London bride Laura May, her dream just came true!
Caroline Castigliano launched her new website a couple of months ago, along with all-singing, all-dancing social media updates via Facebook and twitter, a blog and lots of behind-the-scenes photos and even fashion shoot videos.
That wasn’t all — the Caroline Castigliano ‘CC Club’ launched simultaneously as a pretty cool way of getting brides to be hooked on Caroline Castigliano weddings… and who wouldn’t be, with exclusive gifts, offers and competitions from the worlds of weddings, luxury travel, beauty and fashion as well as sneak previews of latest collections and invitations to exclusive events.
The cherry on the wedding cake? Club members were entered into a competition to win a bespoke wedding dress up to the value of £5,000! (I’ll wait a sec while you pick yourself up off the floor.…)
Over to Caroline Castigliano:
The lucky winner, Laura May, 26, will be married in a Castigliano gown when she ties the knot with fiancé Geoffrey Quint, 27, at Westminster Cathedral next year, after scooping the prize in a competition organised by Caroline Castigliano to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new website, www.carolinecastigliano.co.uk.
Laura said: “I was speechless when I found out I had won! The thought of wearing such a beautiful fairytale gown almost brought me to tears. I woke up the following morning and immediately had to check that it wasn’t just a dream.”
The couple have been together for six years, becoming engaged when Geoffrey, who works at a London investment bank, proposed to Laura, a junior doctor, on Valentine’s Day 2009 with a stunning platinum solitaire ring from Aspreys. The couple celebrated the engagement that evening with a surprise party attended by friends and family at the Royal Automobile Club in the glamour of London’s Pall Mall, which had secretly been organised by Geoffrey in the months prior to the proposal.
Laura and Geoffrey will be married in an intimate ceremony at Westminster Cathedral. The reception will be hosted by the Royal Automobile Club’s Epsom clubhouse, in the heart of Surrey’s green countryside, with a white and green colour scheme and silver accessories throughout. The couple will be honeymooning in Paris.
Next for Laura is a trip to the designer’s exclusive Knightsbridge flagship boutique where she will meet with her personal consultant and begin the unparalleled Castigliano experience for which the brand is so renowned.
Fans of the brand are invited to join the winner as she blogs about her exciting win on the designer’s website (www.carolinecastigliano.co.uk/cc-club-competition-winner).
I know I’ll be following Laura’s story as she shares all about her Caroline Castigliano experience — and I know it will be an exciting read for brides to be as well.
The whole concept of the bespoke design process is intriguing for me — funnily enough when Amber at Caroline Castigliano sent the press release she asked if I’d bumped into any WAGs recently (being in Cheshire, natch) and this is like a little insight into their world! The lives of the rich and famous, hey?
(My reply was I wouldn’t know a WAG if one bit me… and I’ll censor the rest for now!)
