The Belle Epoque in Cheshire is an opulent wedding venue, richly decorated and full of character. A gorgeous little gem with bags of character, I had to do a little wedding venue feature to show you this one!
Owned and operated by a single family over 35 years, the Belle Epoque has such wonderful features as marble pillars, art deco fireplaces and luscious detailing around every corner. It really makes a statement and is a glorious treat for your wedding day.

Photographer thoughts on the Belle Epoque
Chris Hanley has shot many weddings at Belle Epoque and describes the venue as “a legend in Cheshire, steeped in ambience, history and accolades”.
Chris shared his thoughts on the Belle Epoque as a wedding venue: “From a bride and groom’s point of view, if they are looking for a small bespoke place to host their wedding and celebrations then it is very easy to fall in love with this establishment. They are at ease and comfortable with running weddings, as you or I are slipping into a favourite pair of jeans and shoes. The staff run a faultless and charming service. This is reinforced with fantastic support from a kitchen and cellar that provides the very finest food and wine.”
“From a photographer’s point of view, this is a very challenging venue to photograph with its ambient low level lighting and small restrictive spaces. The very nature of the place requires your photographer to use wider angle lenses, higher camera settings, and additional lighting. No problem for full time professionals on top of their game. My very strong advice to bride and grooms considering this venue would be to choose your photographer very carefully. Ask if they have shot here before. If yes, study the wedding pictures carefully, if not ask to see an example of their work in low light venues. It simply won’t be acceptable to shoot a wedding here and rely on flash. Its the ambience that makes the place it is, and demands skilful use of natural and artificial light.”
“One final piece of advice to consider. The Belle Epoque, hosting a dry summer wedding with 80 people is a delight. If it’s raining, 80 people indoors is comfortable. Anything above 100 and the place feels very full, especially if your guests are confined to inside. We have shot Belle Epoque many times and throughout the year, so if any of your brides or grooms are considering this venue and have any questions then I’ll be happy to answer their questions if I can.”

Nowhere other than the Belle Epoque can give you such a stunning and unique venue, combined with personal service and award winning food.
For over 35 years the Belle Epoque has been a “culinary Beacon” of the North West dining scene. Combined with a truly eclectic interior of Objets d’Art and rich fabrics, creating a distinctly different dining experience.

Just wanted to say I went to a wedding at Belle Époque on 30th December in snow and it was gorgeous! Was lovely to be tucked away inside such opulence whilst the world outside was crystallised. Great food, lovely atmosphere but must mention that the bride did seem to have some issues with the wedding co-ordinator there. Still, I was blissfully unaware of that at the time so I had a lovely day!

Thanks Emma, this is great feedback on the Belle Epoque. I can almost imagine all the cosy luxury on a snowy day. Sounds beautiful!
This looks like such a beautiful venue! I had an enquiry last week from a couple getting married there in January… fingers crossed for a snowy day! : )
My husband and I got married here in March 2010 and we simply had the most amazing time, we completely fell in love with character of the venue and it was something a little bit different to what we had been looking at, the staff were brilliant on the day and the food & drink were delicious, our guests raved about the food. I couldn’t recommend this venue enough to anyone thinking of getting married here, it really is a special place! x
