Inspired by Brendan and Maria’s black and white wedding theme which I featured here on Sunday, I asked some of my favourite UK wedding photographers to share their best black and white wedding photographs.
There isn’t much I can say about these, other than I was absolutely blown away by the wedding pictures they sent to me. Today and tomorrow — in two very, very different ways, I’ll show you why you should choose a wedding photographer who’ll give you wedding photographs in black and white as well as colour.
Today — spectacularly artistic wedding photographs by Chris Hanley:
Above: pure black and white used to make a stunning wedding photo with light and shadows, from the clouds and sky to the grass and shadows
Below: black and white with sepia creates a timeless portrait of the bride and makes the most of a magnificent wedding venue

With just a dash of sepia, this striking bridal portrait is every girl’s dream — a timeless and breathtaking wedding picture
Chris Hanley travels all over the UK for wedding photography. If you’re looking for the very best wedding pictures, look no further than Chris Hanley Photography.
