Vintage wedding goodies

Vintage weddings are still a huge English trend. Combined with the huge appeal of Etsy and Folksy’s wonderful handcrafted wedding accessories and the rise of eco-friendly and rustic weddings… there has to be a perfect combination of these somewhere. Doesn’t there?

The answer is yes…

Wedding goodies from Vintage Twee.

Teatime vintage accessories

Gorgeous accessories for a vintage tea from Vintage Twee!

Vintage Twee is based in Manchester, and is the brainchild of the fabulously talented Joanne Linder. Joanne creates inspired vintage accessories for weddings, parties and special events. Following on from the typically English wedding I featured on Sunday, I was delighted to hear from Joanne and excited to show you some of her beautiful designs.

My favourite: vintage style wedding guest book by Vintage Twee

My favourite bit of wedding loveliness by Vintage Twee is this wedding guest book in a vintage style. It is so beautifully crafted. Joanne sources as many vintage items as possible to create her items, such as lace, pearls, jewellery, antique music sheets and romantic imagery.

vintage feather pillow gift box

Adorable handcrafted vintage wedding favour box by Vintage Twee

As a calligrapher I can’t get enough of this wonderful little vintage wedding favour box. I love the little feather and rolled up scroll. Joanne puts so much thought into her designs: these are hand crafted using excerpts from a 1940s love letter from a young girl named Anna to her soldier sweetheart.

vintage embellished cones

From vintage to retro, Joanne has these great paper rose cone favours which would look gorgeous on your wedding tables. They have bags of potential for confetti cones as well — I’d definitely ask Joanne if she can make you matching cones for your confetti and table favours!

I think Vintage Twee is fantastic. Their accessories are great for any party, from weddings to sophisticated hen nights, even classy dinner parties. Please pay Joanne’s Etsy shop a visit and see all the other goodies on offer. She also has a Vintage Twee blog where she showcases new products — as I write, there are some beautiful little gift hampers on there as Joanne prepares for a craft fair over the bank holiday weekend.

I love Vintage weddings and the pictures are awesome. Nice blog

  3. If you want to create a vintage atmosphere, don’t forget the music! Nothing says “vintage” more immediately than some elegant songs from th 1920s, 1930s and 1940s . And it has to be a live vocalist! It ties in really nicely with the fabulous sheet-music vintage wedding goodies here as well.
