Ashton Court Mansion Wedding

bride and groom night time

A favourite picture from this wedding - Fran and Jim and a gorgeous blue night sky

Here's another simply stunning real wedding from Chris Hanley Photography. The photographs speak for themselves and are always, without exception, out of this world.

Ashton Court Mansion

Ashton Court is a gorgeous venue for weddings.

Ashton Court Mansion is a luxury wedding venue near Bristol. The house dates from the 16th century, with a choice of gorgeous rooms for your wedding ceremony and reception. The magnificent estate of Ashton Court covers 850 acres of woods and grasslands with breathtaking views over the city. This photograph is typically imaginative, taking in the whole venue and the wonderful blue summer sky.

Bride and bridesmaids in red

Fran looks amazing in her beautiful dress and those foxy shoes!

This was the wedding of Fran and Jim, in August last year. Fran looks fabulous in this amazing white wedding dress, with layers of the beautiful silk surrounding her. The shoes are a brilliant touch, showing Fran has bags of personality and style! Fran’s three bridesmaids share the limelight in this great, colourful wedding photograph.

Groom and best men

Jim and friends enjoy the sunshine!

What a great backdrop for a wedding photo. The bright sunlight on those yellow walls, the fabulous shadows from the leaves, the green grass, blue window panes and those red ties… plus Jim having such a fantastic time… it all adds up to a very special wedding photo.

Bride by a tree

Fran’s turn to pose outside Ashton Court — another beautiful picture.

Fran takes her turn to pose by this magnificient old tree outside Ashton Hall. The colours in this photograph are fabulous, giving it bags of character. I adore Fran’s dress and this bright and sunny wedding photo makes it shine — Fran’s smile says it all. The colours are wonderful: yellow sunlight, green grass, blue window and the red bouquet add up to a really rich photo. Love it!

wedding guests

Fran and Jim’s guests mingle outside the venue for Pimms on the lawn!

This is a really natural picture of the wedding guests, as everyone gets together for a glass of Pimms on this beautiful sunny day.

bride and groom with bouquet

Relaxed, and giggling — Fran and Jim now happily married

Every wedding day has those fantastic little moments the bride and groom will treasure. I love seeing them captured on film! Fran and Jim look great together, and they both look fabulous, Jim with a simple tailored suit and orange calla lily buttonhole, Fran wth her delicately embroidered wedding dress, elegant diamond necklace and those beautiful waves in her hair. The splash of colour from the wedding bouquet of red roses, pale red stargazer lilies and orange callas completes a wonderful photo.

pimms

Essential for a summer wedding… bring the Pimms please, Jeeves.

Oh so very English, and perfect for a summer wedding: Pimms on the lawn! Even a simple photograph like this one looks fabulous if you know how… the sparkly colours, rich reds and golden slices of fruit with a dash of green and the blue shadows… lovely.

bride and groom with family

Fran and Jim with their parents at the wedding reception — a lovely informal photo.

Chris Hanley’s photography swoops from extravagant colour to sedate, perfectly composed group shots. Here the bride and groom with their parents, informal and relaxed inside Ashton Court. The little interactions between the group make this a friendly family photo full of interest.

wedding top table

The bridal party get ready to sit for the wedding breakfast

And once again, a fabulous family photograph of the top table at the wedding. Every single person is doing something different, looking at someone or something, and as a whole this picture looks amazing. And strangely, uncannily reminiscent of Da Vinci’s last supper!

bride and groom outside castle

Fran and Jim look right at home against their perfect wedding venue

Fran and Jim pose outside the mansion house for some formal shots, as always with Chris Hanley these are elegantly structured wedding photos with a difference.

bride and groom with trees

Fran and Jim look into each other’s eyes in a soft, romantic wedding picture

The line of trees makes a gorgeous line through this picture, creating an idyllic summer wedding picture focusing on the bride and groom. Fran’s smile and the way she’s standing show how delighted she’s feeling, while Jim leans towards her ever so slightly. They look very much in love.

bride and groom

Fran and Jim share a private moment in the shade in a gentle breeze

Again making fantastic use of the sunshine and dappled light from the leaves of the trees, this picture of Fran and Jim is unusual and really artistic for a wedding photograph. The tree is magnificient as a backdrop.

bride and groom in gardens

Fran and Jim enjoy each other’s company for a while

All those acres of land at Ashton Court Manor offer endless opportunities for wedding photos. In the late afternoon the shadows grow longer and make this picture, with bright sunlight and deep shade, just perfect.

bride by pillar

Fran is the focus of this amazing wedding picture with pillars and soft lighting

The architecture at Ashton Court is stunning, the lighting magical. Fran is bathed in soft amber light, emphasising her beautiful figure and the sweeping, elegant lines of her wedding dress.

Bride and groom

Fran and Jim look so very, very happy together.

I settled with the title “Ashton Court Mansion Wedding” but I was tempted to call this wedding feature Art with a bride and groom in — because well, there are wedding photographers and then there’s Chris Hanley Photography. This last photograph is focused entirely on our beautiful bride and her handsome husband.

Photographer Chris has the skill to take the most artistic, exquisitely composed photographs using breathtaking lighting and colour, and also the most romantic, warm and intimate images of a bride and groom enjoying their day and totally in love.

Thanks again for submitting this wedding to Chris Hanley Photography. Chris Hanley and wife Claire are a fantastic team, working together to shoot your wedding without missing a single moment or photo opportunity. Visit the website for more inspiration and to find out about their popular Cherish The Dress photography too.
