Bride Yvonne looks amazing in this fabulous picture at Crewe Hall

Chris Hanley is new to the English Wedding blog but a well-loved photographer with a very distinctive and elegant style. This Crewe Hall wedding is a taste of sheer luxury. Bride Yvonne is breathtaking in her beautiful wedding dress with exquisite embroidery and that amazing veil, which makes this a wonderful photograph.

Crewe Hall, photographed by www.ChrisHanleyPhotography.com

Crewe Hall is an extremely desirable wedding venue in the North West of England. The Hall is a Grade I listed building with magnificent architecture to create a real impression.

A rare wedding ceremony shot, facing the bride and groom and guests

Yvonne and Craig invited over 200 guests to their wedding celebrations! Crewe Hall can cater for up to 280 seated guests at a wedding breakfast. This Irish wedding ceremony was held in The Long Gallery and photographer Chris got this great shot from behind the registrar, showing the bride and groom and guests.

Playing on the lawn at Crewe Hall — the bridal party look fabulous!

This informal wedding photograph taken on the lawn at Crewe Hall shows a great opportunity to relax and laugh with the bridal party. This is a great fun shot, the colours are fab — love those bridesmaids in purple! Groom Craig and the boys wore lush purple ties to match, and looked fantastic.

Wedding guests enjoy the photo opportunity as this gorgeous shot is staged

Inside the Hall, the ornate decor provides so many photo opportunities. The styling of this luxury wedding venue is perfect for sophisticated, atmospheric wedding photography. I really admire the way Chris Hanley works with the venue and makes the most of every detail: here the balcony and lighting make for a gorgeous image, with Yvonne’s wonderful veil the centre of everyone’s attention.

Yvonne poses for a photograph in Crewe Hall’s Great Library

The Great Library at Crewe Hall is a stunning room with its high marble fireplace and those dark, ornate bookcases. Surroundings fit for a Queen… and beautiful Yvonne looks right at home here.

Soft candle lighting, warm champage colours and deep blues make this a gorgeous image

Making the most of the historical surroundings inside Crewe Hall, Chris Hanley’s photos capture magical light and shadow effects in such a stylish way. This champagne glass photograph is just one example — I love Chris’s style and I’d highly recommend him as your wedding photographer for any stately home wedding.

A definite case of ‘happily ever after’ for Yvonne and Craig!

This lovely photograph of the bride and groom relaxing after the ceremony makes me smile every time I see it!

An artistic and very contemporary wedding photograph by Chris Hanley

There are all kinds of photo opportunities at Crewe Hall. This images is another favourite of mine: bride Yvonne looks relaxed and so elegant, her glorious gown and veil fall naturally across the carpet, and yet the photograph itself is imaginatively structured with the paintings and lighting behind her.

Yvonne enjoying the formal photography session at Crewe Hall!

Chris takes advantage of Yvonne’s giggling to snap this warm and pretty picture during the formal photography session outside the wedding venue.

These two shots of the wedding cake table and a floral display are both lovely.

The wedding detail photographs are carefully thought out and capture key elements of the wedding theme. The purple theme continues with the wedding cake, while white roses are used throughout the day.

Stunning wedding photographs making the most of Crewe Hall’s stained glass windows

I’ve saved some of my favourite photos from this wedding for last. This one makes the most of the stained glass windows to create beautifully atmospheric photographs of the bride and groom.

A behind the scenes look at the wedding entertainment!

As night draws in, the entertainment is unique and has a magic of its own! Chris takes a great behind the scenes photograph of the man behind this unusual firework display!

A Jacobean archway at Crewe Hall makes the perfect backdrop for this final wedding photo

Crewe Hall turns into a whole new world as day turns to evening, and it’s another wonderful opportunity to make the most of the majestic building for wedding photographs. This last shot of Yvonne and Craig against an original archway at Crewe Hall is full of light and colour.

My thanks to Chris Hanley for submitting this wonderfully luxurious wedding to the English wedding blog. When it comes to stately home weddings, I’d recommend Chris as your photographer every time. His skill at creating exciting images in a grand setting is really amazing.

Chris Hanley Photography will be exhibiting at The Wedding Show in Tatton Park on the 30th and 31st of January 2010. Please seek him out if you’re going — he’s sure to have an amazing wedding photography stand there!
