Today I’m in love with Twitter for introducing me to Emily Quinton. Emily’s wedding photography is amazing and I’ve spent a happy hour or two this week gazing at her wedding photography blog!

Emily photographed this beautiful English winter wedding back in October. Bride Amelia is from New Zealand, and groom Dougie is Scottish… they met halfway and were married at Barnt Green in the West Midlands.

I love the composition of Emily’s photographs. Here the tree canopy creates a gorgeous frame for each image, turning shots of the bridal party into something just a touch more magical.

I love this wedding for the gorgeous details which are captured so perfectly...

I love this wedding for the gorgeous details which are captured so perfectly…

All the gorgeous little details of the wedding are caught on film, from the intricate lace of Amelia’s wedding dress and vintage style accessories and jewellery, to the bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets. Emily’s attention to detail makes her style of wedding photography very special — a woman’s touch?

Amelia and Dougie created a little sweetie shop at their reception — I love the thought that went into this! (Though I find as I type I’ve just had to fetch sweets!) These little extras are from Bonne Fete - I’ll add a listing for them on my supplier pages shortly, as they’re too adorable to be missed!

The floral centrepieces look stunning from across the wedding reception venue. I adore the martini glass vases for the table centrepieces, and the little creative touches to the flower arrangements: a little silver butterfly here, some tartan ribbon there…

Amelia found this beautiful white shrug to go with her dress, and the brooch is stunning.

How fantastic are these wedding boots?! Bridal shoes are always a major purchase, but in winter you need something cosier… and personally I’d have a winter wedding just so I could wear boots and a shrug like Amelia’s -  gorgeous! This is almost my favourite of Emily’s shots, but I saved one for last…

I’ve seen a few similar wedding photographs recently, particularly for vintage weddings where this style of photo just seems to fit so perfectly. It’s only from seeing this image in Emily’s portfolio that the vintage connection really clicks so seamlessly. The softer tones and natural surroundings of this wedding photo make it almost timeless to look at.

I think this image will bring wonderful memories of the wedding day come flooding back with real clarity — Emily Quinton has something really special.

Check out Emily’s website and wedding photography blog to see more. Emily, thank you for sharing.
